THERE IS A NEW GAME IN TOWN: STING AUSTIN HIRES EANNA O’GORMAN AS STING AUSTIN BOY’S DIRECTOR OF COACHING

The Sting Soccer Organization is pleased to announce the hiring of Eanna O’Gorman as the new Boy’s Director of Coaching for Sting Austin. Eanna brings a tremendous wealth of experience in both the competitive and collegiate soccer environments working almost exclusively in boy’s and men’s soccer since the inception of his career.

Eanna joins Sting after eight years of coaching at the club and collegiate level. He has worked most recently at the University of Texas at Tyler as the assistant coach and has been instrumental in helping guide the team to the Lonestar Conference playoffs for the first time in program history, and again for a second year following. In addition to his duties at UT Tyler he has also led some of the top youth boys’ teams in the area with FC Dallas East Texas. Previous to his position with UT Tyler, he was one of the youngest NCAA head coaches in the country at the age of 25 and led the men’s program at Howard Payne University to its most wins in eight years.

Eanna also boasts a very successful playing career as a former NCAA Division II and Junior college athlete. He finished his career at Dodge City as the second most decorated player in school history as an all-conference selection and defender of the year in multiple seasons. He was also the first international student to complete a master’s degree at Howard Payne University in their 128-year history. Eanna holds numerous coaching licenses from UEFA, FAI, and the FA, along with a long list of supplemental courses in sports psychology, strength & conditioning, and goalkeeping.

Eanna has demonstrated a strong commitment to identifying and developing players for the next level and has brought 80+ athletes from high school and the club level to the college level in the short space of the past 6 years. With a keen ability to prepare athletes for the physical and mental demands of high-level competition, he is known for navigating teams to success through innovative tactics, strategy, and analysis that have been acquired from his playing and coaching experience in Europe and the USA. He has an extensive experience in building team culture and cultivating top athletes and performers across all age groups, from players as young as ten all the way through college age. Eanna’s pedigree is tremendous, his father was the European coordinator for scouting for Aston Villa for 17 years, and through his mentorship, Eanna has built an extensive network with top academies and scouts in Europe and the rest of the world, along with college coaches in the United States.

Brent Coralli, Principal/CEO of Sting Soccer Organization shares excitement for Eanna in his new role,

“Eanna has proven in whatever programs he has been involved with that he can make an immediate impact; this is shown through his history of success at both the youth and collegiate level. He is passionate, dedicated, and extremely knowledgeable and forward-thinking, and is the perfect addition to the Sting Austin staff. His experience alone, along with his extensive network of contacts within the U.S., and at professional academies overseas, will open doors for young male soccer players in the Austin area. This coupled with his ability to create an unparalleled development environment for our boys and young men makes the future bright for boys in the Austin area that are looking for a program that will be dedicated to their long-term development and providing opportunities at every level for the future.”

Eanna echoes the sentiment,

“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to be the Boys Director for Sting Austin and work within the nationally recognized Sting Soccer Organization. I will dedicate tireless energy and effort to providing a soccer program that is unparalleled for boys and young men in the Austin area. I invest in every player in my program, along with the coaches that lead them. That dedication to development has helped me enjoy success in every program I’ve had the honor to be a part of. I am excited to lead the boys’ program with Sting Austin and I am looking forward to what the future holds.”
