STING ANNOUNCES STING DALLAS ROYAL ECNL RL DIRECTOR NICK SOUTAR

Sting is pleased to announce the addition of Nick Soutar to Sting Dallas Royal as the ECNL RL Director. Nick has been the Academy Director at Sting for the past three years, where he has successfully overseen the younger teams in the organization, while coaching older teams within Sting as well.

Nick grew up in Essex, England and started coaching in his local community at the early age of 15. Nick began his trade of coaching in the youth development system of professional English Clubs Wycombe Wonderers F.C., and more recently with Cambridge United F.C. as a coach in the youth development center. Nick spent 10 years working for Liverpool F.C. International Academy in Dallas, Texas, from 2009-2019. He coached both genders and all age groups during that time and held different leadership roles including two years as the National Premier League Manager, and two years in charge of the Club’s Foundation Phase (5-10 years old.) These roles involved multiple trips to the professional clubs Academy in England for unparalleled insight into how they develop their players. With over 15 years coaching experience, Nick has spent his last three years with Sting making an impact within the organization as the Academy Director, and with his highly successful teams. Kenneth Medina shares excitement for Nick in his new role,

“Nick has managed our Academy for the past three years and done a tremendous job building the youngest ages within the club and managing a large staff of coaches, along with his own teams. It’s time now for Nick to look forward in a role that will maximize his skills and allow him to impact the organization at the higher levels. We are looking forward to seeing what Nick can do in his new role.”

Nick Soutar shares a similar excitement,

“I am excited for this new chapter in my coaching career. I know that I am joining a strong staff within the Dallas Royal ECNL and RL program and I will have an opportunity to make an impact on and within the staff, and also on the many players we will reach through the Dallas Royal program.”

With many exciting changes within the ECNL and RL ranks, Nick Soutar moving in as the RL Director is the final piece to solidifying a strong leadership team that will help continue to propel the program forward.
