Sting Austin School Soccer League

About the Sting Austin School League

The Sting Austin School League is designed to be a developmental program for young and aspiring soccer players, giving every child an opportunity to experience soccer with a professional coach and see where their path can take them.

The practices are designed around Long Term Athletic Development and aim to improve children’s fundamental movement skills (Agility, Balance, Co-ordination and Speed) along with soccer techniques to prepare children for the next stage of their development.

About Rob McGann -

Rob McGann has a tremendous background in soccer with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Development and Coaching (graduating with the overall highest mark and highest honors), and professional coaching experience in England at Sheffield United. Starting as a Talent Identification and performance analyst at Sheffield United, Rob moved on to become the Head Coach of the Under 9 Academy Team and the Assistant Coach of the U18 Development Squad. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Austin Division and will focus his efforts on developing young players so that they will be successful in higher level playing platforms as they move into their competitive soccer years.
