The Sting West ’97 and ’99 teams delivered donations to the SafeHaven Women’s Shelter in Fort Worth over the weekend. The teams collected items from neighbors, family members, and friends over a few weeks and brought them to the shelter this past Saturday, August 29th.
The mission of SafeHaven of Tarrant County is to end family violence through safety, support, prevention and social change. The items brought by Sting West ’97 and ’99 will help women and children that have had to flee abusive and violent homes.
Within Sting Soccer, we stress the importance of giving back to the community. Leaders begin with service, and we applaud the service of Sting West ’97 and Sting West ’99 in their efforts to give back to the community. You should be very proud of yourselves and we, at Sting Soccer, are very proud of you as well.
