Sting Gutierrez ’00 clinched the TFC Blue Cup Blue Division Championship over the weekend of December 11, 2009 as they went 5-0 to come away the victors.  The team dominated throughout the tournament allowing not a single goal during bracket play and scoring a smashing 19 goals over all during the weekend.  The girls opened with a crushing 7-0 win v. NTX United. The afternoon followed with yet another shut-out win over TFC-Flahie with a score of 2-0.

The next morning, team Gutierrez faced FC Dallas-Pratt continuing on with their stellar  play, defeating their opponent 4-0.  Three strong shut-out wins served to definitively advance Sting Gutierrez to the semi-final match to meet Texans South-Adame. The Sting group again proved themselves to be the better team with a solid 3-0 win.

The afternoon championship final match against Sting-Friedrichs showed the determination of Gutierrez’ team. In a hard fought battle, Sting ’00 Gutierrez came out on top with a 3-1 win over Sting ’00 Friedrichs and earned this talented team the TFC Blue Cup Championship.
