Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez continued on its 2009 championship march with a thrilling Thanksgiving weekend victory in the prestigious Texas Cup.  Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez finished up a golden year in 2009 by earning its own club championship crown to go along with championships in the Texas Lightning Puma Cup Gold Division,  ASG Adidas Invitational, Spring Classic Invitational, and Austin Labor Day ‘98 Silver Division.

Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez started bracket play with a strong win in a physical match over FC Dallas 99 Rudd 2-0.  Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez stunned Sting West Royal 99 14-0 in a powerful offensive display from multiple players.  Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez dominated an improving Sting White 99 team 4-0 to finish bracket play undefeated and without a goal scored against them.

The semi-final match pitted two Girls Classic League Division I teams as Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez battled Ft. Worth FC 99 White.  The Sting Royal girls never wavered in winning 3-2.  This victory set up the match everyone anticipated as Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez contended with Sting 99 Flanagan for the 99 Sting club crown. In an incredibly physical, aggressive see-saw battle between two Division I giants, Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez defeated Sting 99 Flanagan 4-2 in an electrifying penalty kick finish.
