Sting ’97 Girls made their mark at Surf Cup, held July 24th – July 26th in San Diego, California, by going 1-0-2 through group play and ultimately winning one of the most competitive tournaments held throughout the year.

Sting ‘00 Friedrichs recently won the 2010 Puma Cup hosted by the Texas Lightning Soccer Club. Sting ’00 Friedrichs opened the tournament strong with a solid 2-0 win against Texas Blitz Black 2000. Sting ’96 made their way to Overland Park, Kansas with high hopes of winning the 2010 USYSA National Championship. Through the first two games, Sting ’96 looked like a Championship team as they defeated Soccer Association of Columbia United Premier (MD) and Foothill MVLA Lightning (CA-N), each 1-0.

Having already captured one National Title at the ECNL Championships in Seattle on July 17th, Sting ’95 looked to complete the National Championship sweep as they advanced to the Championship match in the USYSA National Championship Series in Overland Park, Kansas.

Fresh off their ECNL National Championship victory last week in Seattle, Sting ’95 has continued their dominant run at the USYSA National Championships in Overland Park, Kansas. Sting ’95 has dismantled its competition so far through the tournament with a pair of 7-0 wins against Beadling 94/95 (PA-W) and Real Colorado National (CO).

Sting ’95 came into the 2010 year with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. After a disappointing result in the 2009 Southern Regional Championships in Frisco, TX, Sting ’95 was more determined than ever in 2010 as the team showed on and off the field with their preparation and play putting them in a position to compete for the 2010 ECNL National Championship.

Over the past year, Sting ’95 has been competing in multiple events across the country in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). Through nine regular-season games, Sting was seeded atop their flight going into the ECNL National Championships held July 15th-18th, 2010 in Seattle.

Sting ’97 White recently won the 2010 Flamefest held June 19-20^th in McKinney, TX. After beginning the tournament with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to TFC, Sting ’97 White bounced back with a 1-0 victory of their own against High Plains Drifters.

Sting ’92, Sting ’95, and Sting ’96 went into Wednesday’s Championship Matches looking to keep their momentum going as they needed just one more victory to advance to Nationals and stake claim to the Southern Regional Championship.

Sting ‘92, Sting ‘95, and Sting ’96 each traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana with one goal in mind—winning the Southern Regional Championships. All three teams will get their chance on Wednesday as each team won their respective semifinal matchup Tuesday morning.

Sting teams dominated competition through group play and all five teams found themselves in the quarterfinal stage of the 2010 Southern Regional Championships. Battling through brutal heat, humidity, and storms throughout the weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sting went a combined 14-0-1 in group play.

Sting teams rolled into Baton Rouge, Louisiana with high hopes this week expecting to win at the Southern Regional Championships. With five teams advancing to regionals, Sting was well represented going into Day 1, and all five teams proved they were focused on the task at hand as each team won its opening match on Friday.

Sting ’92, Sting ’95, and Sting ’99 each won North Texas State Cup this past weekend, May 8^th – 9^th. Sting had six teams in all playing over the weekend all vying for the right to be called State Cup Champions.

Sting Royal ’97, coached by Beau Brown, recently won the 2010 Spring Classic Invitational held April 2^nd – April 4^th. Sting Royal ’97 was the only ’97 team to play up in the u14 age division, and the results showed they were not intimidated by any means.

Sting 99, coached by Brian Flanagan, played up in the U12 (98) age group in the Texas Lightning Youth Cup in Arlington over Easter Weekend  April 2-3^rd 2010. 

Sting ’97 White rolled through its competition outscoring its opponents 9-1 on its way to winning the Texas Lightning Cup over Easter weekend, April 2-3^rd.

Sting White ’97 recently won the Plano Premier League Division 1 for the 09/10 season. The team, coached by Matt Veasey, clinched the league title with two games left in the season, going 6-2-2 in the Fall, and currently has a 8-0-1 record for the Spring.

Sting Blue ’97 recently traveled to Austin and won the AU Capital Cup’s U13 Gold Division. The team went undefeated in group play with two wins and one tie.

Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez continued on its 2009 championship march with a thrilling Thanksgiving weekend victory in the prestigious Texas Cup.  Sting Royal 99 Gutierrez finished up a golden year in 2009 by earning its own club championship crown to go along with championships in the Texas Lightning Puma Cup Gold Division,  ASG Adidas Invitational, Spring Classic Invitational, and Austin Labor Day ‘98 Silver Division.

Sting ’97 Blue had a great showing over the weekend winning the TFC Blue Cup. With stellar defense and timely offense Sting opened the tournament with a hard fought 1-0 win over FC Dallas Youth ’97 Black. In their second match of the tournament, Sting ’97 Blue defeated XCELEX ’97 in a tightly contested match-up  between the teams, 2-1. In their third match of the tournament, Sting found itself in a defensive struggle against TFC ’97.

Sting is proud to announce its partnership with Crull Fitness as the primary fitness provider of the Sting Soccer Club. As the primary fitness provider, Crull Fitness will have the opportunity to provide fitness training for member athletes and teams. The partnership extends to Sting teams, Sting players and Sting families.

Sting Royal ’95 recently showed their support of our troops as they welcomed many of our Nation’s heroes back home.

Sting White ’97 won the Bob Wiseman Memorial Tournament over the weekend, outscoring its opponents 11-1 throughout the tournament.

Over the Labor Day weekend, Sting ’97 Blue went 5-0 as it claimed the Austin Labor Day Tournament Silver Division Championship. Sting ’97 Blue scored 10 goals throughout the tournament without conceding a single goal for an opposing team.

Over the Labor Day weekend, Sting’s U12 Royal 98 team, coached by Audrey Gutierrez, entered the 8^th Annual Austin Labor Day Cup, a Nike Premier event in Austin, Texas.

Coach Audrey Gutierrez and her tournament champion Sting Royal 99G team decided to test their skills against older teams in the Austin Labor Day Cup and emerged victorious yet again.

Sting ’99 Gutierrez clinched the U11 Gold Division championship at the Texas Lightning Puma Cup July 17-19, 2009.

Sting ’91, Sting ’92, Sting ’93, and Sting ’95 all won Monday to advance to the semifinal matches at Regionals in Frisco, TX. Sting ’90 has already advanced to the semifinals by winning its bracket over the weekend. Sting ’90 will play D’Feeters ’90, in a rematch from the 2008 Region III Tournament, on Tuesday, June 23^rd at 9:30 A.M. at Field #14.

Sting ’90, Sting ’91, Sting ’92, Sting ’93, and Sting ’95 all made it through bracket play without a loss over the weekend in the Region III Tournament. The five teams compiled a record of 13-0-2 to win each team's respective bracket and advance to the next round of the tournament, one step closer to Nationals.

Sting ’90 completes a fantastic weekend with a 2-0 victory over Dallas Texans in the final of the U-19 North Texas State Cup.

Sting jerseys will be dominating the fields at Pizza Hut Park and Russell Creek Park later this month in North Texas. Instead of relaxing in the sun on this memorial weekend, Sting 95 Blue completed a successful run at the North America Memorial Day Cup in Dallas.

Playing two years up, Sting 95 Blue captured first place at the U-16 Carey Invitational Tournament in Lewisville!

Congratulations Sting 95, 93, and 92 teams on qualifying for the 2009 Southern Regional Championships in North Texas.

Sting Blue ’97 performed very well over the weekend as they won the Ayses Texas Winter Classic Tournament in McKinney. The tournament was held on February 7-8 at Craig Ranch and Ruschhaupt Soccer Complex.

Several players from the Sting Soccer Club participated in the 2009 Region III ODP Championships January 15-19 in New Orleans, LA. The girls beat Alabama and Florida in the first two games, which placed them in the Championship game against Georgia.

Each year Soccer America ranks the top 30 boys and girls youth club teams in the nation. Soccer America is a national magazine that is devoted entirely to soccer. It was founded in the early 1970’s and is considered one of the best soccer publications in the country. This year Sting Soccer Club was ranked #5 in the nation. This is a great accomplishment for Sting and its continual improvement from its #15 ranking two years ago, to #8 in the nation last year, and now being ranked #5 in 2009.

On November 15, 2008 the Sting 92 team participated in the annual Salvation Army Angel Tree at NorthPark Mall.  The girls assisted donors in selecting and adopting an “Angel” from the Angel Tree and also accepted gifts already purchased.  All of the girls had a great time and represented the Sting Soccer Club in good fashion.  The team has also adopted a Family.

Over the weekend, Sting proved itself once again as being arguably the best female soccer club in Texas by claiming three Premier League West Championships out of five age groups. Sting ’92 (10-0-1), Sting ’93 (7-1-1), and Sting ’95 (7-0-2) each won its respective age group and automatically qualified for the Southern Regional Championships in 2009. 

Pro Select Soccer and Albion Cup Showcase scouted and selected the following Dallas Sting Blue ’93 players to take part in the Pro Select Brazil Training Program in June 2009.

Sting Royal '95 showed great heart and determination as it went 1-1-1 in group play on its way to reaching the finals of the Austin Labor Day Cup.

Pro Select Soccer and Albion Cup Showcase scouted and selected the following Dallas Sting Blue ’94 players to take part in the Pro Select Brazil Training Program in June 2009.

Congratulations to the Sting Blue ’94 team for their excellent play, heart, and determination as they twice fought back from 2-0 deficits to knock off two Lake Highland Classic teams on their way to winning the U15 Girls Championship.

Sting White '95 tied for third place in their bracket after going 1-1-1 in group play in the bronze division of the Austin Labor Day Cup.  Sting won the tie-breaker earning a spot in the semifinals where they would face Longhorns South, a team that narrowly beat Sting White 1-0 in the LHGCL QT. 

Sting '97 and Sting '97 Blue performed very well in the 2008 Dr. Pepper Fair Play tournament held August 15-17 in Plano, TX. Playing up in the U13 age bracket, Sting '97 beat the older competition to win the tournament, while Sting '97 Blue were finalists in the U12 division.

The trip back to Dallas from San Diego was a little sweeter for Sting ’95 as they brought the title of Surf Cup Champions back with them. 

Sting Dallas ’90 has advanced to play for the National Championship for the second consecutive year, while Sting Royal ’92 fell just short of reaching the title game. 

The Sting Dallas ’90 and Sting Royal ’92 teams both won the U.S. Youth Soccer Region III Championships last weekend that was held June 20th- 25th in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Sting was represented by five teams in the Region III Championships including: Sting Dallas ’89, Sting Dallas ’90, Sting Dallas Royal ’91, Sting Dallas Royal ’92, and Sting Dallas Royal ’93. 

The Sting Dallas ’90 and Sting Dallas ’89 teams both won the North Texas State Cup this past weekend that was held May 29^th-June 1^st.

In round robin play, Sting Dallas ’90 beat Spirit 5-0 and FC Dallas 7-0 to solidify their position as frontrunners; and despite tying their last game against D’Feeters 1-1 in a hard physical game, the Sting Dallas ’90 came out on top as the North Texas State Cup Champions.
